How to Set Up a Training Requirement

Follow these steps to set up training requirements and build your platform's compliance structure. This process ensures users are assigned the necessary training for their job roles and can be easily marked as compliant.

Pre-Setup: Training Types & Training Providers

Before you add courses and requirements, set up your Training Types and Training Providers.
This is a one-time setup when you first visit an empty platform:

  • Training Types: Define categories for your training (e.g., Safety, Technical, Onboarding).
  • Training Providers: Add the organisations or individuals who deliver your training content.

Step 1: Add Courses

  • Go to the Courses section.
  • Add each course your company will offer.
  • Courses you add here can later be linked to training requirements and assigned to job roles.

Tip: Include clear names and descriptions to make course selection easy later.

Step 2: Create Training Requirements

  • Go to the Training Requirements section.
  • Create requirements by grouping one or more courses together.
  • Training requirements you add here can be linked to job roles and will form the basis of a user's compliance profile.

Tip: A requirement might be a single course or a set of courses that must be completed together.

Step 3: Assign Requirements to Job Roles

  • Go to the Job Roles section.
  • Create a new job role (e.g., Electrician, Supervisor).
  • Assign the required training requirements to the job role.

This is where everything comes together:
When a user is given a job role, they are automatically assigned all linked training requirements. As they complete each requirement, their compliance profile is updated. Once all requirements are complete, the user is marked as compliant for that job role.

That's it! You’ve now set up a structured, compliant training pathway for your users.
